Councillor starts construction work of drains

JAMMU, Nov 29: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Parmodh Kapahi here today started construction and repair work of drains at Mohinder Nagar in Ward-14 which will be completed at the cost of Rs. 4.50 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor asked the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by it within Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in their routine work.
The Councillor also asked the people to refrain from throwing debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
He said that the public should adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their level to make Jammu neat and clean city.
Raj Kumar, Gulzar Singh, U.S Rai, Arti Gupta, Tripta Gupta, Waryam Singh, Vijay Sapru, Surjit Kapoor, S. Gurdeep Sigh, R.K Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
