Councillor releases Ward ‘charter’

UDHAMPUR, June 18: Councillor of Udhampur Municipal Council, Ward number 6, Vikram Singh Slathia here today released a ‘charter’ of his Ward.
Talking to reporters, Slathia said that the ‘charter’ focuses on facilitating accessibility to the public services, ensuring accountability of public servants and addressing the systemic problems that persistently recur and render Government initiatives ineffective.
The Councillor also said that his Ward has been brought on the appropriate development track.
“Adequate streetlight system in entire Ward, beautification of dirty pockets near Gole Pull subway, installation of street sign boards and tiling work of Ramnagar Chowk Lane are some points to mention,” he said.
The Councillor further said that support of the public is sought in the form of responsibly availing the opportunities and timely feedback for ensuring remedial measures.
The charter also includes important schemes and contact numbers of public servants in PHE, PWD, police etc.
