JAMMU, Jan 19: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor Pritam Singh inaugurated lane drain and tiles work at Kanjwani in Ward-55 with an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakhs, here today.
The said lane has been in dilapidated condition for a long time and the residents, especially old persons were facing a lot of problems while passing through these busy lanes.
The Councillor Pritam Singh while addressing the media appealed the general public to come forward and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in various development works undertaken by the department within the Jammu city.
He urged upon the residents to avoid using single used plastics, polythene in their routine work, don’t throw debris, garbage filth etc in the drain and nallahs.
Local residents including Ward president Omkar Singh, Jahju Ram, Ratan Lal Bhagat, Bodh Raj and others were present during the event.
