JAMMU, Sept 2: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Councillor Amit Gupta started deep drain works with an estimated cost of Rs five lakh at Chand Nagar in Ward 19, here today.
The deep drain has been in dilapidated condition for a long and the residents were facing a lot of problems due to its dilapidated condition.
The Councillor appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with the JMC in various development works undertaken by the department within the Jammu city.
He urged the residents to avoid using single used plastics, polythene in their routine work and don’t throw debris, garbage filth etc in the public drains and lanes to make Jammu a neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Rajiv Gupta, Shashi, Naresh Choudhary, Rajesh Khajuria (kaki) Tulsi, Subash Angral (Chani), Krishan Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
