JAMMU, Oct 17: Jammu University Council has directed the University authorities to initiate action against the tainted officials and take other remedial measures in view of the irregularities established by the enquiry committee.
Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik told Excelsior that most of the recommendations based on enquiry committee constituted by Jammu University had been received.
“We have told Jammu University to implement the recommendations at an earliest and take action on case by case basis,” the Minister informed.
Meanwhile, Prof Mohan Pal Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University while talking to Excelsior disclosed that another Committee will be constituted by the University authorities very soon to unravel the irregularities during the tenure of former Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu,
Prof Ishar further told that the members of the Committee will be nominated soon.
Referring to the report of the enquiry committee which had been set up by the State Government two years ago, the Council stressed time-bound conclusive action on each of the recommendations therein.
According to the reliable sources, there has been some conclusion on certain points regarding the report of the enquiry committee, however some points are yet to be discussed.
