JAMMU, Sept 30: J&K BJP State general secretary and incharge Ladakh region,Yudhvir Sethi today lashed out at what he termed as ‘corrupt leaders’ for trying to divide State on communal and regional lines. Those who have lost ground, were involved in financial scams causing State exchequer huge losses and stand rejected by their own people are now banking upon hate speeches and false propaganda.
Speaking during election rallies at different places at Jammu and door to door campaigns being conducted in favour of BJP candidates, Sethi said while corrupt leaders of Congress involved in huge financial scams in J&K are being vocal against BJP. These leaders who accuse BJP of plunging State into unprecedented crisis actually looted it themselves and built mansions on encroached State land.
He further added that “another set of corrupt leaders who too were involved in bunglings and talk of Dogra pride must know that BJP is a far sighted party which cares for every section of society including Dogras, Kashmiris, Ladakhis and all others and has been working to ensure equitable development of all three regions of the State irrespective of cast, creed, region or religion.”
Yudhvir warned such leaders to resist from dividing people and advised them to think big.
While speaking to media Yudhvir Sethi said that issues which these corrupt, frustrated, rejected and forgotten leaders including some former ministers are taking up today could have been easily resolved when they were in power but they chose to make money, loot State, grab land, cause departments huge financial losses and take people for a ride.
The BJP general secretary said how unfortunate it is that those party workers who worked for decades in a hope to represent their wards in ULB polls are today contesting as shadow candidates of these political outfits who chose to stay away from a democratic process. This speaks of contestant’s urge to be part of democratic process but their parties didn’t see that spirit.
He added “It’s because of efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that state is going to witness biggest every democratic process taking place after over a decade in the form of ULB polls and Panchayat elections and those raising hue and cry were the ones who enjoyed power but halted these elections so that powers remain in their hands and in their families alone.
