Corona cases in J&K close to 700, 31 in Ladakh

JAMMU, July 26: COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir today reached close to 700 while the Union Territory of Ladakh recorded 31 fresh positives.
Out of 697 new cases in the UT, 416 were recorded in Kashmir division and 281 in Jammu region.
Jammu district accounted for 147 cases followed by 40 in Doda, 20 Udhampur, 16 each in Rajouri and Kishtwar, 13 Kathua, 11 Samba, 10 Poonch, seven Ramban and one in Reasi district.
Number of active COVID positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has now reached 3816 including 1930 in Kashmir division and 1886 in Jammu.
Meanwhile, Ladakh today reported 31 fresh Corona positive cases—30 in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Active positive cases in Ladakh have gone up to 152 including 145 in Leh district and seven in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the last six months as Kashmir showed surges in the positive cases today.
Kashmir reported 416 fresh cases of COVID-19 today.
Srinagar reported 268 cases, Baramulla 71, Budgam 22, Kupwara 20, Bandipora 14, Pulwama 13, Ganderbal 10, Kulgam 6, Annatnag 3 and Pulwama 2.
