Coriander, kalaunji fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 2:  In limited deals, prices of coriander and kalaunji fell Rs 200 per quintal in  the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Coriander and kalaunji prices declined by Rs 200 each to settle at Rs 10,200-17,700 and Rs 10,800-14,300 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against sufficent stocks mainly pulled down coriander and kalaunji prices.
Following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 750-900, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,460 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,680.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 690-740, cardamom (colour robin) 670-730, cardamom bold 720-740, cardamom extra (bold) 890-940 and cloves (kg) 875-925. (PTI)
