Coriander, kalaunji fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 5:  Coriander and kalaunji prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Coriander and kalaunji prices fell by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 8,300-13,300 and Rs 8,500-10,000 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 12,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 600-730, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,300-1,320 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,350-1,450.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 630-690, cardamom (colour robin) 635-650, cardamom bold 660-680, cardamom extra (bold) 850-870 and cloves (kg) 880-990. (PTI)
