NEW DELHI, June 6: Coriander and chilli prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today due to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.
Higher arrivals from growing regions also put pressure on the coriander and chilli prices.
Coriander and chilli prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,700-16,700 and Rs 7,800-15,500 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and chilli prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 155-190, black pepper (per kg) 590-740, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,800-1,825 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 2,050-2,125.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 790-850, cardamom (colour robin) 790-810, cardamom bold 800-820, cardamom extra (bold) 930-980 and cloves 750-850. (PTI)
