Copper, nickel weaken on subdued industrial demand

NEW DELHI, July 19:  Prices of copper and nickel fell further by Rs 2 per kg at local non-ferrous metals market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries and report of a weak trend in the overseas markets mainly kept pressure on copper and nickel prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4×4) fell further by Rs 2 each to Rs 432 and Rs 1,088-1,094 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 111-117, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,088-1,094, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 432, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 111, Lead imported 109, Aluminium ingots 155, Aluminium sheet cutting 156, Aluminium wire scrap 158 and Aluminium utensils scrap 155. (PTI)
