Copper futures rise on spot demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 8:  Copper futures traded 0.06 per cent higher at Rs 446.30 per kg today as speculators widened positions amid higher demand in spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November traded higher by 25 paise, or 0.06 per cent, at Rs 446.30 per kg, in a business turnover of 1,285 lots.
Metal for delivery in far-month February also rose by 15 paise, or 0.03 per cent to trade at Rs 451.05 per kg in 6 lots.
Analysts said increased exposure by participants, tracking a firm trend at spot markets on pick up in industrial demand influenced copper futures prices here. (PTI)
