JAMMU, July 29: A police cop saved a girl from jumping into river Chenab.
As per police sources, a Head Constable Vipan Sharma posted in Police Station Gharota was passing through the new bridge on river Chenab saved a girl, who was trying to jump into the river to end her life.
The girl was brought to Police Station Gharota and accordingly her parents were called. She was handed over the family members after completing legal formalities.
Timely action by the HC Vipan Sharma saved a precious human life. The action of the HC Vipan Sharma was lauded by the people especially parents of the girl.
