Srinagar : A Special Operations Group personnel, Mohammad Shafi was killed in an encounter with militants in Zaloora forests of Sopore in district Baramulla today.
The SOG Sopore, SOG Cargo and 27 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) cordoned off Zaloora forests early today. Militants hiding in the forests opened fire on troops killing the SOG man, Mohammad Shafi.
Militants managed to escape and massive searches have been launched against the militant group.
