JAMMU, July 16: A Police Constable injured seriously in an assault by some miscreants has been struggling to get proper treatment due to financial crunch and his family has sought financial help from the public for his costly surgeries.
Constable Amritpal Singh, who was posted at Jammu Airport, received grievous injuries on June 28 when some miscreants attacked him with sharp edged weapons in Khour area of Miran Sahib. He was shifted to Amandeep Hospital Amritsar, where doctors have advised him to undergo two surgeries for limbs attachment.
However, the cost of the two surgeries is around 25 lakh which the family is unable to bear while there is no financial support from Government side for the treatment of the injured Constable, who is a sole bread earner of the family.
The aggrieved family of the Constable has sought financial help from the public for his treatment and has appealed the people to donate generously to save a precious life on humanitarian grounds.
