JAMMU, June 15: A police constable sustained injuries after 2-3 unidentified persons travelling in a private vehicle tried to crush a naka party at Bahu Fort area this evening.
During routine naka checking at Bagh-e-Bahu between 8:30-8:45 PM, a Swift Dzire vehicle registered in Chandigarh (CH01CK9491) was signalled to stop, but its driver accelerated the speed with an intention of crushing the naka party, a police official said.

In this murderous assault, one Selection Grade Constable (SgCT), Raman Kumar, who is posted at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station, suffered injuries, he said.
The police official added that the injured cop has been admitted to Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, where his condition is stated to be stable.
While police have registered a case under the relevant Sections of the law at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and started further investigation into the matter, the vehicle used in the crime has been seized from Har Ki Pauri area, said the police official.
A manhunt has also been launched to trace and arrest the assailants, he said.
