Cop arrested for snatching money from lady vendor

RAMBAN, Aug 23: Taking strict action, police registered a case against a cop for snatching money from a lady vendor and arrested him, here.
As per police sources, a cop namely Manawar Hussain misbehaved with a lady vendor in the market area here in drunken condition.
The matter was reported to SHO Ramban, who reached the spot and conducted the medical examination of the cop. In the medical examination, it was found that the cop had consumed alcohol.
The cop was unauthorizedly absent from DPL Ramban without informing the senior officer and proceeded towards Ramban market, where he misbehaved with the lady vendor in drunken condition today afternoon.
After the misconduct of the cop came into the notice of the senior police officer and his unauthorized absence, the cop was placed under suspension. The cop was asked to deposit his accouterments in DPL and during the period of his suspension, he will be entitled to subsistence allowance whatever will be due to him.
Meanwhile, the lady vendor namely Dhamali, wife of Ghoutoya, a resident of Jaipur Rajasthan lodged a compliant with police station Ramban stating that the said cop misbehaved with her and also snatched Rs 100 from her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 125/17 under Section 382 RPC has been registered at police station Ramban and cop has been taken into custody.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
By initiating legal action against the cop, the Ramban police showed that law is equal for all and no one will be spared, who break laws, a senior police official said.
