UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: A youth sustained electric shock when the GI pipes, he was loading on a minibus, came in contact with a live wire passing overhead, here today.
The victim, identified as Vijay Kumar (25), son of Madan Lal of Falata Seen, Thakerran, Udhampur, received electric shock when he was loading GI pipe on a minibus at Matador Stand, opposite Town Hall Udhampur. The GI pipe accidentally touched 32 KV electric wire passing over the area.
As soon as the GI pipe touched the wire and the victim received electric shock, he fell from minibus rooftop. Though escaped from getting electrocuted, he sustained injuries because of fall.
People immediately shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur and his condition was stated to be stable.
