JAMMU, Oct 23: Secretary DGPC Jammu, S Mela Singh has appealed the Sikh Sangat to cooperate with the DGPC constituted by the Divisional Commissioner on the directions of the High Court.
He said on the directions of the court Divisional Commissioner constituted a three member committee which shall separately look into the affairs of DGPC Jammu. Divisional Commissioner as chairman of the DGPC will chair the meetings and take final decisions in consultation with the committee. He said the committee will act till the elections are held. He appealed the Sikh Sangat to cooperate with the DGPC led by Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu.
Senior officer, R K Kohli was appointed to look into the accounts and financial matters and Jatinder Singh Director Land Records JDA shall supervise all the affairs of DGPC Jammu.
Meanwhile, senior Sikh community leader and former DGPC member Makhan Singh has claimed that he never accompanied the delegation which met the Divisional Commissioner as appeared in a section of press. He termed the report of his meeting with Divisional Commissioner as mischief played by some persons.
