KHALTSE, Dec 11: Professor Deskyong Namgyal, the Controller of Examinations at the University of Ladakh, visited Government Degree College (GDC) Khaltse and released its inaugural newsletter titled Ser-Gyi-Mayon.
During his visit, Professor Namgyal also engaged in an interactive session with the students and staff, offering a detailed presentation on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He elaborated on the NEP’s implementation at the University of Ladakh and commended the achievements of GDC Khaltse, specifically highlighting the successful transition to the new Pre-Fabricated (Pre-Fab) structure and the release of the college’s first newsletter. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of the new infrastructure and available resources.
Earlier, the college Principal, Professor Stanzin Yangdol, in her welcome address, expressed gratitude to the University of Ladakh for implementing NEP 2020 across Ladakh’s colleges and thanked the Controller for visiting the college despite the challenging winter season.
Sonam Yangdol and Mepham Dolker of the 3rd semester students gave a captivating presentation showcasing the college’s highlights to Professor Namgyal. The event was moderated by Dr Deachen Angmo, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sumera Mehraj, Skill Course trainer of the college.
