KATHUA, Apr 8: The silent protest dharna of terminated paramedical staff entered in 6th day in support of their demands.
The terminated paramedical staff selected under SRO 24 continued their silent protest in the premises of Medical College Hospital Kathua is support of their demands to get extension letter after completion of one year agreement period. The protestors including the Mukesh Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Anamica and Nisha Kumari said that the silent protest dharna has entered in 6th day. “We are fighting since last six days to get justice from Government. But unfortunately no one from Hospital authorities and no one from Government is ready to listen our problems. The authorities are adopting use and throw policy. They alleged that the discrimination attitude with Jammu has not ended so far. The Kashmir based Contractual paramedical staff is continuing to their services. But the Jammu based youth were thrown out after one year”, they added.
They said “When numbers of post are lying vacant in Government Medical College Kathua, then why we are not being absorbed against them under circumstances when country is fighting against Corona Virus”. They appealed to LG of J&K to take the matter personally and issue order of extension letter to continue the works in such tough time to fight against Corona virus.
Meanwhile, the terminated contractual employees of GMC Rajouri have also made a same demand before the Government urging it to end the discriminatory treatment and absorb them against the vacant posts. They said when the nation is facing the crisis due to Corona Virus and there is dearth of staff in hospitals why the Government des not absorb us who served in the Hospital for months together with dedication and honesty.
