Contractor booked for restricting EO from performing duty

KATHUA, Mar 20: A contractor has been booked for restricting Executive Officer (EO) of Municipal Committee Nagri Parole here.
As per police sources, a contractor identified as Arpan of Nagri Parole had some heated arguments with Executive Officer (EO) of Municipal Committee Nagri Parole Ravinder Singh over some payment release issue.
Later, the contractor caught hold of the EO’s shirt collar and tried to assault him. However, other employees of Municipal Committee Nagri Parole intervened. The contractor managed to escape from the spot.
EO lodged a complaint against contractor and later a case under Section 353 IPC (restricting a Government employee from performing his legitimate duties) was registered at Nagri Parole Police Post and hunt has been launched to arrest the contractor.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
