RAMBAN, Nov 24: A constable got injured after being hit by a vehicle being driven by the Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force.
As per police sources, at about 1145 hours a Maruti Celerio car bearing registration number JK19-2890 being driven by Rajan Singh (Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force), son of Om Parkash of Ramban hit a constable near Sandhoku More in tehsil Batote.
The injured was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Batote, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in. The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained.
A case under Section 279 and 337 RPC has been registered at Batote police station and investigation started.
