JAMMU, Feb 25: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers including a constable and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Arnia Police Station apprehended two drug peddler in Kullian area and recovered one gram heroin from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as Wali Mohammad, son of Feroz Din of and Sadiq Ali, son of Naseeb Ali, both residents of Kothey Salehar, Arnia. Sadiq Ali is a constable and is presently posted with IR-17th Battalion stationed at District Anantnag
A case under FIR Number 32/18 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh along with Incharge Kullian Border Police Post ASI Yougal Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
