NEW DELHI/SHILLONG: Stating that the NPP-led coalition of regional parties and BJP has 34 members, Conrad Sangma on Sunday called on the Meghalaya Governor Ganga Prasad and staked claim to form next Government in the State.
“We have 34 members,” Mr Sangma said after the meeting with Governor along with delegation of leaders from other parties like BJP, UDP and HSDP.
Swearing in likely by March 6 as the term of the outgoing assembly ends on March 7, he said.
Earlier in the day, UDP president Donkupar Roy said that six newly elected legislators from his party would support the NPP-led dispensation. (AGENCIES)
