SRINAGAR, Aug 9: Senior Congress leader and former Parliamentarian, Tariq Hameed Karra said that the Congress party would fight the fascist forces for their nefarious designs of abrogation of Article 370/35A but it would not facilitate PDP to become a “martyr” at the cost of opposition parties.
Ridiculing Chief Minister’s sudden approach to opposition parties, Karra said dropping at the door of National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abudllah was yet another theatrical and deceitful tactics of PDP leadership to mislead public and hide its failures in the garb of reaching out to opposition.
Karra questioned the timing of Chief Minister’s “cosmetic” hand shake with NC and said that the Chief Minister’s sudden waking up from slumber probably shows that sense of guilt for PDP misdeeds and misadventures. He said that PDP leadership which has betrayed public faith ruthlessly now wants opposition to shoulder their sins.
He, however, said the scars of their deceitful politics were still afresh and opposition parties can’t afford to overlook those scars and miseries of the people. Karra claimed that though PDP was nothing to get from such meetings, yet it appears how desperate Chief Minister was to save her party from disintegration and public wrath.
“Now, when the PDP has realized that Sangh Parivar has used it as a horse and RSS riding this willing horse as a pillion, they have once again started befooling the people by their tried and tested theatricals,”, he said. “Though congress party would fight the fascist forces for their nefarious designs of abrogation of article 370/35A, it would not facilitate PDP to become a ‘martyr’ at the cost of opposition parties by asking them to shoulder a rotten coffin which is soaked with the blood of innocents,”, he further added.
