JAMMU, Oct 10: The recent incident of beef party at Srinagar has exposed Congress and the same is clear from duplicitous political activities under which it has one stand in Kashmir and other in Jammu province. This was stated by BJP State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while terming the protests by Congress in Jammu as attempts to mislead the people of Jammu.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the developments after beef party hosted by Engineer Rashid and the role of Congress have totally exposed this party before the public. While the BJP MLAs took a firm stand to oppose the deprecatory and provocative action of Engineer Rashid, the Congressmen are protesting in Jammu for face saving and at the same time, its elected representatives and leaders have kept a conniving silence in Kashmir. Likewise, NC, which has introduced bill in the House to legalise the cow slaughter to pander the extremist elements in the Valley and its Jammu-based senior leaders are maintaining stoic silence.
“Congress would have displayed character and probity, had the Congressmen stood with BJP in Kashmir to protest the beef party rather than playing political drama in Jammu by protesting outside BJP office and conveniently closing eyes and maintaining silence in Valley”, said Balbir adding that there is no justification in holding such protests in Jammu by the Congressmen.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the Congress leaders in Jammu are trying to mislead the people but the public has itself seen as to what role has been played by BJP legislators and the double role of the Congress.
