Congress expresses concern over house arrest of its leaders

JAMMU, Sept 13: OBC Chairman Pradesh Congress Committee, Suresh Kumar Dogra has expressed concern over the house arrest of mainstream leaders including State JKPCC president, Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Vice president, Raman Bhalla.
Speaking in a meeting Dogra said that this house arrest is a violation of fundamental rights.
He asked the Government to free the political leaders put under house arrest else there will be protest demonstrations.
Dogra also raised the issues of rights of OBC people of J&K and sought details of plans about the people of backward classes under UT status of J&K.
He claimed that the Congress party in J&K is being snubbed by the Centre as it has been seen that only BJP is being permitted to organize public programmes while Congress and all regional and national parties are not allowed to do so.
Parshotam Lal Mehra, Prabodh Jasyal, Vijay Verma and others also spoke on the occasion.
