SAMBA, Aug 3: District Samba unit of Congress today held a strong protest against alleged soft policies of the BJP towards militants and purported controversial statement of Deputy Chief Minister on HM commander Burhan Wani.
A number of Congress activists, led by Subash Bhagat and Arun Sharma, assembled at Main Chowk Samba and held a protest demonstration amidst raising of slogans against the ruling coalition BJP and its Minister.
The protesting Congress activists also torched an effigy of the Deputy CM and vowed to expose the saffron party for its alleged double speak on Kashmir policy as well as Pak sponsored terrorism in the State.
While addressing the gathering, Subash Bhagat alleged that the DyCM had given a wrong statement and such leaders were a threat to the national interest and its integrity. “The statement establishes that the BJP has compromised everything for chair but Congress will not tolerate such anti-national utterances, which discourage security forces and nationalists,” he added.
Arun Sharma also addressed the gathering and alleged that the BJP Ministers were toeing the separatists’ line on Kashmir issue and thus damaging the reputation of India as well as Indian security forces. This is the reason that violence graph has registered a sudden increase during this rule,” he added.
Thakur Gambir Singh , Sandeep Sharma, Rajan Sharma, Dinash Singh, Ram Murti, Sourav Bhagat  were prominent among those, who participated in the protest demonstration against BJP.
