JAMMU, Aug 2: Former minister and vice president of Pradesh Congress Committee (J&K) today conducted an extensive tour of Marh block which was badly ravaged by floods.
PCC leader took stock of the damages caused by monsoon rains during his visit to Phallain Mandaal, Kirpalpur, Sardari Chak, Sum, Malke Chak, Sandwan, Lohri Chak, Chargali, Pangore areas of Marh block. He met several flood hit people and assured to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.
Mula Ram said that Congress in J&K will fight from the streets to ensure the guarantee of minimum support price for farmers and firmly oppose the anti- people policies of BJP government in J&K UT. He alleged the total failure of LG’s administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
PCC leader also demanded crop compensation to the farmers due to heavy monsoon rains. Mula Ram while expressing serious concerns over the situation arising out of the recent incessant rains in various villages of Marh block, said LG Government and Central BJP Government must take the plight of the people seriously, in view of heavy loss to crops.
Mula Ram assured the locals that he will leave no stone unturned, in extending all sort of help to affected people of Marh block.
