JAMMU, Dec 4: Congress is holding a grand ‘Mehangai Hatao’ rally at Jaipur on December 12 against sky rocketing price rise, record unemployment and sinking economy, causing severe misery to the people of the nation.
This was disclosed by the JKPCC chief GA Mir while interacting with the senior PCC functionaries here today to discuss the participation of leaders and office bearers of the party and frontal wings from Jammu and Kashmir in the proposed rally. The meeting decided that members of AICC, PCC, DCC & BCC, besides frontal wings should attend the rally.
The meeting was attended by PCC vice president Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, general secretaries Yogesh Sawhney , Th Manmohan Singh, SS Channi, treasurer Rajnish Sharma, DCC president Jammu Rural, Hari Singh Chib, Sahil Sharma (Spokesman) Chairman SC Dept Karan Bhagat, Secretaries Pawan Raina, Sanjeev Panda, S Harvinder Singh Mehta and others.
Speaking on the occasion Mir said that the AICC had decided to hold a massive rally as part of `Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ on the December 12 at 11 AM at Ram Lila Ground, Delhi from where Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi were to address the nation. But the Modi Govt in a prejudiced conspiracy has got the Lt. Governor of Delhi to cancel permission for the said rally in Delhi.
He said the Congress neither going to be demoralized and nor is it going to withdraw even an inch from the age-old commitment to raising issues concerning the people. It has been decided that this rally will be organized in Jaipur, on December 12, 2021.
Meanwhile a prominent leader Sameena Kousar (adv) along with social activist Arif Malik Rafiq Malik, Iqbal Malik, Babbar Hussain, Sahil Malik, Raza Khan and Sufiyan Malik joined Congress party. They were welcomed in the party fold by PCC chief GA Mir and other senior leaders at PCC HQ Jammu.
