JAMMU, Nov 13: Responding to claim of senior National Congress leaders that their party can change destiny of remote, backward areas, S.S.Bijral, senior BJP leader castigated them terming the Party ‘spring of sufferings’ of Jammu & Kashmir State ever since its accession with India. It cannot escape responsibility for all ills crown of India-J&K- has come to bear.
Taking a dig at Congress leader claim that State received serious attention during Congress led Govt. from 2006 to 2008, Bijral calls it open admission of failure when the Congress Party is a Coalition Government partner ever since 2002 till date. It will behoove well to Congress leaders to honour gullible voters of J&K admitting and explaining their failures in 12 long yrs of rule rather than talk of only 2006 to 2008 rule. Congress needs to explain to people why it played second fiddle to their coalition partner while being in power at Centre leaving the State undeveloped backward State.
Congress unabashed shout ‘it only can change destiny of remote, backward areas’, need to explain to people why while being in power for 12 years- 2002 to 2014- Kishtwar and Inderwal constituencies to cite one example have only 19% and 21% respectively of road connectivity. The condition of schools, colleges, hospitals, dispensaries, Anganwari centres is less said better and people are set to show up their resentment against the incumbent Govt of Congress and NC in coming elections.
Bijral, State Convener of JK Cell and member of State BJP Election Management Committee says Congress that had been pursuing agenda of communal politics to divide people to rule pointing accusing finger at Bharatiya Janata Party, stands well exposed as evidenced by its near rout at hustling in national elections. Party leaders having failed to provide welfare Government to people unabashed continue the old rhetoric without learning any lesson. According to Bijral, Congress leaders are best advised to focus on people welfare agenda rather than to divide & rule policy BJP is ruling the roost as most sought after party.
