Cong questions delay in installation of oxygen plants

JAMMU, Apr 30: Congress has questioned why most hospitals in Jammu province are without oxygen plants despite sufficient time gap between Covid-I and Covid-II wave, when most oxygen plants have been installed and commissioned in Kashmir province during the same period.
Reacting to the reports of non-installation of oxygen plants and avoidable delay in the installation of 37 proposed oxygen plants in Jammu province, J&K Congress has questioned the delay and failure and termed it criminal negligence on the part of concerned authorities of the UT administration. What the Centre Government and entire UT Administration was doing in this regard and who is responsible for this delay, the senior Congress Leader and JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma questioned.
The party also questioned why there is no vaccine available for vaccination of the age group of 18 to 45 years, despite advance announcements for the registration and bookings. At the eleventh hour, it is found there is no vaccine required for the same and bookings not opening.
It asked the ruling BJP to explain the total failure of their government to deal with the grave emergency as it was already anticipated to come in serious forms all over country and failures lead to people dying and suffering while there are no oxygen plants Commissioned in hospitals and no vaccine for vaccination in J&K. It is monumental failure and total mismanagement of Modi Government and BJP has failed the nation. The Jammu region is worst sufferer due to failure to create the required health facilities for which Centre Government is responsible and accountable to the people, he said.
