VKK organises online culture competition

JAMMU, Apr 30: Viraj Kala Kendra (VKK) Jammu in collaboration of Samagra Shiksha organised cultural competition virtually on the topic, ‘Unlock Your Talent’ for children of Jammu province.
The event was organised under the leadership of Raj Bharti, chairman VKK and Rajneesh Gupta, theatrist.
A total of 95 children took part in different streams of ‘Art & Culture’ viz debate competition, solo drama competition, slogan writing competition, singing competition and dance competition and showcased their talent. The result of which was declared today.
In dance category, Manha Vaid bagged 1st position, whereas Anaya Suri clinched 2nd position, Parineeti Charak secured 3rd place besides Gori and Sagar Raina got meritorious certificates in the age group 5 to 8 plus years, whereas Kashish Nayyar, Aarna Banotra and Mannat Bhau stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while Saina, Deepesh Dogra, Harshita Gupta and Divyanshi Sharma got meritorious certificates in the age group <of 9 to 13+ years and Monika Sharma, Arunakshi Sharma and Mahi Manhas bagged top three positions respectively in the age group of 14 to 17 years.
In slogan making category, Aditya Thappa, Harshita Gupta and Devansh Langer bagged first places respectively while Shriya and Neha got meritorious certificates in the age group of 8 to 13 plus years, whereas Yuvraj Gupta, Shivangi Raina and Sunita secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively, while Ankita Verma and Rakshit Langer got merit certificates in the age group of 14 to 17 years.
In singing category, top three positions were clinched by Khanak Tandon, Saina and Gourav Dhotra while Vaani Bhasin and Ameyaa Uppal bagged meritorious certificates in the age group of 9 to 13 plus years, whereas Netra Tickoo, Indira Sharma and Rakshit Langer remained 1st, 2nd and 3rd, while Madhur Chadgal and Riddhiman Sharma succeeded to win merit certificates in the age group of 14 to 17 years.
In debate competition, first three positions were clinched by Yuvraj Gupta, Harshita Gupta and Aditi, while Namanjeet and Rizwan got meritorious certificates.
In solo drama competition, Mannat Bhau bagged 1st position while Khanak Tandon and Harshita Gupta stood 2nd and 3rd besides Ritvik Gupta and Saanvi Gupta secured meritorious certificates in the age group of 9 to 13 plus years, whereas Sakshav Raina, Ishu Bharti and Jaskaran bagged top three positions, while Indira Sharma win merit certificate in the age group of 14 to 17 years.
Students of MV International School showed their best and bagged many awards in different streams, whereas students of Ved Mandir also explored their talent and bagged awards.
Sunil Sharma, awarded theatrist, Sunny Mujoo, renowned choreographer and actor, Savita Khajuria, poetess and singer and Hempreet Kour, a young theatrist were among the experts who scrutinized the entries, submitted by the children, whereas Tarun Charak gave technical support.
