JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Oct 6: Congress today held a strong protest demonstration against BJP for the hateful and evil poster by the IT Cell of BJP regarding the senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and burnt effigy of BJP president JP Nadda.

A large number of senior Congress leaders and workers joined the PCC protest organized by DCC Jammu Urban led by the Incharge district president and former Minister Yogesh Sawhney and DCC Jammu Rural led by DCC president Hari Singh Chib, which was attended by senor PCC leaders Ravinder Sharma, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Kanta Bhan, Vinod Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Pranav Shagotra, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, Narinder Gupta, Narinder Sharma, Kapil Singh and others.
Talking to reporters Sawhney lashed out at the BJP for its hateful tactics against the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is fighting a war against the hate and division by the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narinder Modi. The Gandhi family has given lot of sacrifices including two Prime Ministers of the family Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi for the unity and integrity of the country.
He said the BJP should apologize to Rahul Gandhi of the shameful and hateful acts. He said the people will not spare BJP for the hateful campaigns and maligning the Indian democracy.
JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma strongly condemned the hateful and malicious act of the BJP for painting the opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in such a manner which is insult to the glorious history of Indian democracy. He said such acts reflects the mindset of the present day BJP under the command of Modi for which the entire nation feels ashamed of the level of the ruling party.
In Srinagar, District Congress Committee held a strong protest against circulating highly objectionable poster of Rahul Gandhi and demanded an apology from the BJP.
Congress leaders and workers including Mahila Congress activists of Srinagar assembled at Party office and protested against circulating highly objectionable and hateful poster of Rahul Gandhi. They demanded an apology from the BJP for such irresponsible and shameful behaviour while terming it a failed attempt to divert people’s attention from its (BJP’s) utter failure on all fronts.
The party leaders and workers marched towards MA Road from Congress office, but they were pushed back by the heavy contingent of police while raising slogans against ruling BJP for indulging in character assassination of opposition after realizing that it (BJP) will be wiped out in 2024. The diversionary tactics won’t help BJP any more, they said.
“The malicious propaganda won’t deter Rahul Gandhi from raising his voice against the discrimination, loot of public money and many other misadventure BJP is indulging for the lust of power,” they added.
