JAMMU, Aug 1: All India Congress Committee (AICC) has called an important meeting of Kashmir Policy Planning Group in Delhi tomorrow to discuss the prevailing political situation in the State.
The Policy Planning Group meeting is being held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh to discuss the current political situation in Jammu and Kashmir State, a Congress spokesman said.
The Policy Planning Group will also deliberate over the socio-political scenario prevailing in the State. Apart from other things, the PPG will deliberate on various issues concerning all the three regions of State.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at the residence of Dr Manmohan Singh in Delhi at 5 pm tomorrow.
Top Congress leaders from J&K or outside, who are part of the PPG will attend the meeting. They included Dr Manmohan Singh (Chairman), P Chidambram (former union Finance Minister), Dr Karan Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra and Nawang Rigzin Jora. Former MP, Madan Lal Sharma is likely to be special invitee to the meeting.
