JAMMU : Senior Congress leader and Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma and Peoples Democratic Party candidate Yashpal Sharma today filed their nomination papers for the Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency here.
PDP candidate Yashpal Sharma supported by party leaders and workers filed his nomination papers before Returning Officer Ajeet Kumar Sahu this morning.
Meanwhile in the afternoon, Congress candidate and sitting MP Madan Lal Sharma filed the nomination papers. Mr Sharma reached the office of the Returning Officer supported by a huge rally of Congress leadership.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Saif-ud-Din Soz also accompanied the Congress candidate.
Earlier, three candidates including one from BSP and two independents had filed their nominations for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat. (AGENCIES)
