MENDHAR, Mar 30: Former MP and chairman Dogra Swabhimaan Sangthan Ch Lal Singh today said that Congress and National Conference are responsible for the miseries of the people in J&K State.
While addressing election rallies at Manjakote, Bhimber Gali, Mendhar, Mankote in Rajouri and Poonch today, Ch Lal Singh attacked both NC and Congress and said that the main leaders of these parties Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah are responsible for the present sorry state of affairs of this region.
“It was out of malice and bias against the then Maharaja Hari Singh, that Army was not made available to protect the State from plunder, arson and public massacres despite repeated request to the then PM, Pt. Nehru. It was due to Kashmiri relationship between Nehru and Sheikh that Maharaja was given the lifelong exile from the State just to ensure the power to Sheikh Abdullah. It is also very unfortunate that the scion of Maharaja Hari Singh is contesting the election on the ticket of the Congress. It was a deep rooted conspiracy by both these leaders that the major chunk of area belonging to Jammu region, which the Indian Army has taken under control, was left at the mercy of the enemy. The only reason to leave this area was its non Kashmiri speaking people and their loyalty for Maharaja. Both Nehru and Sheikh had the impression that they will never enjoy the Kashmiri hegemony, if this part remains with Jammu. Their greed for power virtually made people of Poonch, Mirpur and Kotli to suffer irreparable loss and they are suffering till date,” Ch Lal Singh maintained.
He alleged that sitting BJP MPs have failed to make the country understand that this region belongs to Jammu and entire India is calling it as PoK. This area does not belong to Kashmir in any sense and if it would have been then there would have been no dispute of Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, general secretary said that DSSP is a party with difference and all people particularly youth of Jammu province, having progressive mindset, are joining it in majority. It is a party based on secular credential and nationalistic approach, and is acceptable to all caste, creed and religions.
Kamal Saini (Retd IGP) and Suresh Gupta and Wajid Khan of Mendhar also spoke on the occasion.
