Cong leaders visit Pak firing victims at GMC

JAMMU, June 3:  Senior Congress leader and former  Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand  along with some other party leaders today visited GMC Hospital, Bhakshinagar to meet the Pakistani firing victims.
Accompanied by PCC vice-president,  Mula Ram,  former minister and PCC general secretary Dr  Manohar Lal Sharma,  ex-MLA Thakur Balwan Singh  and  PCC Member Hari Singh, besides other leaders, Tara Chand took stock of the situation during meeting with firing victims in GMC Hospital and inquired about their health condition.
Expressing grave concern about the overall situation, former DyCM said that  immediate measures on war footing are needed to be taken to  ensure safety of border residents, provide them all sorts of assistance, relief and safe shelters with adequate provisions of food, medicines, drinking water as well as financial assistance.
He said that BJP Government should chalk out an effective and result oriented strategy so that the precious lives, property of border residents and  safety of jawans is ensured.
