Cong leaders hold corner meetings to garner vote for party

KISHTWAR, Nov 16: Intensifying their campaigning Congress leaders today held corner meetings in various areas of Kishtwar and appealed the people to vote for the Party candidate, Nek Ram Manhas and strengthen the hands of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the State.
Addressing corner meetings at Dachan and Chatru today, Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari who was accompanied by Farooq Ahmed Tapal, Rafiq Ahmed and Tilak Raj Shan highlighted the achievements of three years rule of Mr Azad and said that State touched heights in development and work culture was established during his Government.
But soon after he resigned from the office due to land row agitation the old practice was repeated in the State. The Congress leaders said that their Party has a long history and it stands for the socialism, secularism and strengthening of democracy. They said for total peace and progress of all three regions of the State people should vote for Congress.
