Cong leaders express concern over shortage of COVID vaccines

RAJOURI, Apr 11: Senior Congress leaders have expressed great concern over reports of shortage of COVID-19 vaccines in the province especially in district Rajouri ,amidst highest ever COVID positive cases in the country and termed it as failure of Government to provide adequate quantity of the vaccines.
Expressing great concern over the reports of non-availability of COVID-19 vaccines in various parts of the district Rajouri as well as in different parts of Jammu region, Congress leaders termed it as total failure of the Central Government to provide sufficient quantity of the vaccine while the same is exported to outside the countries in such a crisis in our own country.
In a joint statement senior Congress leaders Shabir Ahmad Khan former Minister, Ashok Sharma former legislator and AICC coordinator Vichar Vibhag, Ravinder Sharma Ex- MLC, Sain Abdul Rasheed and Qayoom Mir members DDC, Khushal Bali, Masood Chaudhary advocate, Lalit Mahajan, Sushil Sharma, Rajesh Bittu, president Beopar Mandal Rajouri, Shakeel Mir chairpersons MC Thannamandi and others have said that new upsurge is due to lack of timely vaccination in the country. Now, there is great danger as the number of per day cases in the country are the highest, while the government is not able to maintain the adequate supply of vaccine
They said that the entire government, right from Prime Minister and others are busy in the elections in West Bengal and elsewhere rather than the COVID management. The Prime Minister had earlier claimed great credit for controlling the COVID in the country but when the numbers are highest, the Government is clueless and directionless.
The leaders urged the government to provide adequate quantity of vaccine in the Jammu and Kashmir and in the district Rajouri and ensure vaccination of all people at the earliest.
