Cong leader dies of heart attack in GMC

JAMMU, Mar 8: A senior Congress leader and close associate of Union Health Minister, Jughal Bhandari who also contested last Assembly election from Kishtwar constituency on Congress ticket died cardiac arrest, at GMC here early today.
52 year old Congress leader suffered heart attack at Jammu residence of his brother from where he was immediately rushed to GMC Jammu by family members and close friend Ghulam Mohammed Saroori (MLA Inderwal), but died within an hour after reaching the hospital. The deceased was associated with Congress party for the last over 30 years and held many important portfolios in the party including State secretary. He remained District president of party during peak militancy days and during his tenure promoted party policies and agenda in Chenab valley.
He was also the serving as Vice Chairman of Mata Sarthal Devi Trust. The deceased was survived by two sons Randeep Thakur and Aman Thakur and his wife.
