SAMBA, July 24: Former Minister and PCC general secretary, Manjit Singh today accused RSS-BJP for adopting divisive politics in the country where minorities and Dalits are facing harassment.
In a statement, former Minister said that the BJP and RSS have adopted a policy to suppress the weak section of society like Scheduled Caste (SC) and minorities.
“The suppression in the State has increased since the day, BJP came to power.  They have adopted policy of ‘Manu’ where Scheduled Castes and downtrodden section of society is not given importance and neglected,” he alleged.
Mr Singh said that this policy has isolated an important part of our society and it should be ignored so that people live as one in the society without any discrimination on the name of religion, caste or creed.
Condemning incidents in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat where minority and Dalits are allegedly facing harassment from the BJP, he said, people should unite against such forces who are bent to divide society.
He also accused BJP of adopting anti-OBC policy and anti-reservation policy. Giving example, he said, the reservation quota should be given to the SCs and other reserved categories and reservation of OBC in Jammu and Kashmir should be enhanced.
He also condemned unparliamentary language used by a BJP leader and remarks against the former UP CM and MP Mayawati.
