No jobs through backdoor, PoJK next agenda: Dr Jitendra

JAMMU, June 23: Describing the annulling of Articles 370 and 35- A as great achievement and fulfilment of dream of founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh and proponent of total integration of J&K with Indian Union, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, two Union Ministers including Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Dr Jitendra Singh Minister in PMO with independent charge of NE Region, said that situation has totally changed in J&K after August 5 last year.
Addressing a virtual rally for the Party from New Delhi today, both leaders recalled the sacrifices of Dr Mookherjee on the occasion of his 67th Martyrdom Day and said that he was the proponent of ‘Ek Pradhan, Ek Vidhan and Ek Nishan theory which has became a reality after over 70 years of India’s independence.

“The nation is marching ahead as we have realised the dream of Dr Mookherjee who laid town his life on the soil of J&K for Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan and Ek Pradhan by integrating J&K fully with Indian Union’’, said Dharmendra Pradhan while addressing the rally which was held in connection with completion of six years of Modi Government at Centre and first year of Modi -2.
Lambasting the opposition parties especially Congress, he said they have started a tirade against Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for taking pro poor and pro downtrodden decisions. “Why it hurts you when PM announces the developmental programmes and policies for poor and down trodden’’? he asked.
He lambasted Congress especially its vice president, Rahul Gandhi for launching a vicious campaign against the Prime Minister on China issue and alleged that Congress leader does not have faith in Indian military power and he doubts the valour of armed forces. He accused the Congress of gifting the significant areas of J&K including Aksai Chin to China in 1962 but now the nation is in the safe hands. Modi Government is building infrastructure on borders to strengthen our forces, he added.
“India is a strong country now and no body can today dare to dominate it’’, Pradhan said, adding India is emerging as a super power in the world which has liberally helped other nations in combating Coronavirus.
He, while taking dig at Congress alleged that during its rule India was procuring rice and wheat from US and today the situation is altogether different. “Even during Corona crisis, India did not face problem and entire world praised our leadership’’, he added.
Defending two months long lockdown announced by the PM, he said this decision was taken to protect the country and its people. “Later announcing unlock this Government thought of both issues life as well as livelihood of the people’’, he added.
Maintaining that India has become a Model , he said “ We gave medicines to 150 countries across the world’’.
Defending all the decisions taken by Modi Government like annulling of 370, abolition of Triple Talaq, passage of CAA , economic reforms or policy to fight the dreaded Corona pandemic, he said all decisions by this Government are taken in consultation with the people.
Pradhan said that Modi Government made the development as its basic strategy and “earlier rulers looted this country with both hands leaving people to fend for themselves”.
The Union Minister said present Government did not play politics so far as giving benefits of policies and development programmes to people of this country is concerned and “we acted on the formula of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’ the slogan given by Narendra Modi,. This slogan was coined by present Government and earlier no Government gave such pro people slogan, he added.
He also highlighted various pro people schemes launched by Modi Government including Ayushman Bharat, Gareeb Kalyan Yojna, Atam Nirbar Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojna, Ujwala Yojna besides many more public welfare schemes.
Referring to Kashmir, he said present Government is committed to former PM and BJP stalwart, Atal Behari Vajpayee’s formula of Insaniyat, Kashmiriyat and Jamhooriyat . “We are looking towards J&K with this angle only’’, he added.
Addressing the rally, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh warned that corruption and corrupt persons will not be tolerated in the administration by the present Government while referring to new anti Corruption law of the Union Government.
He, while referring to abolishing of interviews for Government services said under new law no jobs in J&K will be given through backdoor but those deserving will get preference. “Gone are the days when a candidate with 95 percent marks in a written test was rejected by giving him only five marks in interview’’, he added.
He said now the candidates will be selected on the basis of merit, their ability and qualification and not on the basis of favouritism. “We will stand by the one youth who competes through merit and not with 1000 youth torching effigy outside as Modi Government works with conviction and not under pressure’’, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh said the decisions taken earlier by this Government especially those in August 5 and October 31 last year were beyond imagination of any body. “Likewise, in future the PoJK is also on our agenda and it will be made part of J&K in the same form as the Maharaja Hari Singh had handed over it to India’’, he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh, while recalling the sacrifices of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee said the late leader while entering J&K in 1953 had said Atal Behari Vajpayee “go and tell the world that Mookherjee has entered J&K breaking permit system’’.
He regretted that in 70 years no national project in the country or J&K was named on this great patriot of India by previous Governments. He said this Government dedicated the Chenani Nasri tunnel to him by naming it as Mookherjee Tunnel.
He said with annulling Article 370, the Central laws meant for public welfare became applicable in this part of country and situation changed totally as horizon of people widened.
“The Dowry laws and Child Marriage Act were not implemented in J&K besides, the 73rd and 74th amendment of Indian Constitution empowering Panchayats were also not applicable here’’, he added.
The Right to Education was not prevalent here in J&K and with the implementation of Anti Corruption Act a constant check will be made on corruption as under the law both the bribe giver and bribe receiver are offenders, he said.
He said the Prime Minister had made an announcement from Red Fort on August 15 in 2014 that interviews for Class IV and Class III posts will be abolished in the country but this law was not implemented here for personnel considerations. Now for the jobs, skill test and qualifying test will be the only criteria.
Dr Jitendra Singh, while highlighting the developmental projects in J&K which were sanctioned under six years of Modi Government said that the UT got six medical colleges and his Parliamentary constituency is the unique Lok Sabha constituency in the country which got three medical colleges. He said IIT, IIM, AIIMS are the other big projects which have been established in J&K.
He said a new dawn of development started in his Kathua -Doda Lok Sabha constituency during the last six years with establishment of Biotech Park at Ghati,Kathua , Seed Processing Plant in Kathua, Kerian Gandyal bridge and Atal Sethu, Delhi- Katra Express corridor, Nami Ganga pattern, river rejuvenation project for Devika Udhampur, High Altitude Medicinal Research Institute at Bhadarwah etc.
He said besides the Pakal Dool and Keri Power projects are two new giant projects sanctioned for J&K on which work has started. In addition to it the water flowing to Pakistan from Kathua area has been stopped by taking up in hand the Shahpur Kandi and Ujh Multipurpose projects.
J&K BJP President, Ravinder Raina, accompanied by BJP Vice-Presidents Dr. Narinder Singh, Sham Lal Sharma (Former Minister), Shakti Singh Parihar ex-MLA Doda & former Minister ), Pawan Khajuria, Yudhvir Sethi, Anuradha Singh Charak & Aseem Gupta and BJP general secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (MLA Samba & former Minister ) formed the part of the panel on the stage of rally at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K BJP general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, along with the senior leaders from BJP Kashmir participated in the rally at Srinagar.
Ravinder Raina said that a terrible conspiracy was being hatched within the nation directed to hit its integrity.
Raina, said “We all have to take an oath that we will not rest till we will take back all the portion of our lands grabbed by neighbouring countries”. He stated that the land till Mansarovar belongs to India. He also paid his respect to the martyrs of Galwan valley and said that our jawans gave befitting reply to the treachery by China.
A book named “Mission Accomplished- A saga of Sacrifices: Praja Parishad” authored by Kulbhushan Mohtra, J&K BJP Library & Documentation was also released on the occasion.
Dr Narinder Singh presented the note of thanks and Dr D K Manyal conducted the stage proceedings. The technical aspects of rally were managed by team of J&K BJP IT & social Media Department headed by Jaidev Rajwal.
