JAMMU, July 5: Charging the Congress having totally failed to act as a responsible opposition party, Jammu and Kashmir, BJP, spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that this party has negated the very spirit and concept of healthy opposition in a democracy.
Balbir Ram Rattan, in a handout, said that the Congress has confined its policies to mere opposition of each and every decision and policy of Narendra Modi Government, which is very unfortunate.
During the last seven years, the Modi Government has taken one decision after the other, which has led to the global recognition of India as a strong nation, capable of handling every situation effectively, dealing its enemies with a strong hand. Unfortunately the Congress never even uttered a single word of appreciation for any of the work, which Modi Government did for the security and honour of the nation. The Congress demands proof when terrorist camps are destroyed through “Surgical Strike” across the LoC, Balbir said and added that such an approach of the party itself speaks about its concern for the nation and its sovereignty.
Balbir said the Congress, which has the credit of introducing culture of corruption in India and indulged in ‘Commissions’ even in defence deals, makes hue and cry when Narendra Modi Government want to equip the Army, Navy and Air Force with modern and sophisticated weaponry, including war aircrafts, missiles, surveillance equipments etc.
He said that the political bankruptcy of Congress can be well seen from the fact that hundreds of welfare schemes have been launched by the Union Government, which are benefitting the farmers, senior citizens, SCs, STs, economically weaker sections, dependents of Corona victims, but are not visible to the party. The Congress as usual, come out with just same line, ‘Modi ne Kaya Kiya’.
The Congress and its leaders are unwilling to accept that India has emerged as ‘Master Player’ in fight against COVID-19 and has manufactured first vaccine, that too within the country, which brought worldwide appreciation for Modi Government but the Congress indulges in questioning the reliability and effectiveness of the vaccine.
