JAMMU, Mar 21:Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, J&K BJP on Saturday said that disarrayed Congress party which was in limbo for quite some time due to its directionless approach has now ‘apparently’ turned headless in J&K with mass exodus of its tall leaders and ground level workers to other political outfits thus deteriorating its position to all time low leaving no scope for its revival in the newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a hard hitting statement issued here, the BJP vice president said that condition of India’s oldest political formation, the Indian National Congress is worsening with each passing day and the situation of this party in other states especially in Madhya Pradesh is also pathetic with its main constituents leaving the outfit in large numbers. The party is fast losing ground in J&K, he added.
“Ambition, ego, corruption, bickering, deception and duplicity marked the decline of Congress. The party has turned into an entity whose top has fallen off and its leaders and activists are desperately looking for a new base to refurbish their lost glory. To follow this pursuit, the disgruntled lot from Congress is embracing other political fronts to survive and continue their journey in politics”, Sethi said without naming those who recently left the Congress party and joined BJP and other political outfits in J&K.
He said that Congress is facing such a crisis only because of its series of blunders including deceit with people, workers and its own leaders. The senior BJP functionary said that this is just the beginning as soon the party is going to become redundant with no significance at all.
Lauding the efforts made by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led Central dispensation to contain the spread of Corona Virus, Sethi appealed to people of J&K UT to adhere to guidelines issued by the concerned authorities for combating COVID-19. He assured that steps taken by Central and UT governments are befitting to check the contagion due to this fatal virus. He also made a fervent appeal to people for observing Janata curfew as suggested by PM Modi on March 22, religiously so that country could be saved from the catastrophe on account of pandemic Coronabirus.
