DODA, Mar 23: Accusing the Congress Party of exploiting the sentiments of erstwhile Doda district to promote its political interests, BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Constituency Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the fictitious announcement by the Union Health Minister to setup a Medical College in Doda on the eve of the announcement of Model Code of Conduct was made with the deliberate intention, knowing very well that it is not going to be practically feasible for implementation.
Addressing a public rally here today Dr. Jitendra Singh said BJP is committed to address the issue of VDCs and SPOs as well as to expose the culprit politicians behind Kishtwar riots as well as corrupt practices of Congress-NC leaders from district Doda.
Probe into Rs 25,000 crore Roshni scam, optimal utility of hydro-power plant and discrimination against Doda in matters of development will be BJPs top priority, said Dr. Jitendra Singh.
If voted to power, Dr. Jitendra Singh assured equitable development of the region at par with other areas.
Rising above the community and caste lines, Dr. Jitendra Singh appealed for a vote for Narendra Modi in order to liberate the nation and the State from the clutches of corruption, mis governance and family rule.
He said BJP is for equal opportunities to every section of society for the harmonious progress of the nation and it believes in the policy of justice to all and appeasement to none. On the other hand the Congress has exploited the people right form 1947 by dividing the communities for its vested political interests.
Holding both Congress and NC responsible of spurt of terrorism in the State, he said the unholy alliance by the two and rigging in 1987 Assembly elections was the main cause of present turmoil in the State as the two parties never allowed their political opponents to raise their head.
He said it is high time for the people of the State to show these two parties a lesson and vote for BJP to restore the dignity and honour of the common masses in the State and for peace and progress of all three regions of the State.
Among those who addressed the rally were Dilip Singh Parihar, District President, Shakti Parihar, Sunil Sharma, Somraj Khajuria, Ashwani Charungoo, Bimla Manhas and several other prominent leaders.
