JAMMU, May 3 : JKPCC president, Vikar Rasool Wani has asserted that the OBCs in Jammu and Kashmir are growing impatient while awaiting their due share of rights.
Joined by Gurinder Pal Singh, National Coordinator and Incharge of the J&K OBC Department, Wani honoured members of the OBC community who have supported the party in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He has pledged to address all their concerns once the party assumes power.
The event was orchestrated by Sandeep Dogra, the Working Chairman of the OBC Department, at the PCC headquarters here.
Interacting with members of the media fraternity at the party office today, Wani alleged that Other Backward Classes are being ignored by this regime. He emphasized that despite numerous promises made by the Modi-led Government, the weaker sections of society, particularly the OBCs, have received nothing but empty words.
Wani highlighted the repeated calls by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for a nationwide caste census to ensure that all communities receive their fair share of representation in governance. Gandhi has stressed the importance of ‘Bhagidari’ or inclusion in all levels of Government to promote justice and equality for society as a whole.
PCC leader condemned BJP for its divisive politics aimed at securing majority votes, warning of the dangers this poses to peace, harmony, and the bonds between different religious communities. He confidently predicted that in the upcoming elections, the INC-India alliance will emerge victorious and form the government at the Centre.
Wani expressed unwavering faith in the Congress Party, asserting that the false propaganda spread by the BJP against Congress will no longer sway the hearts of the people. He firmly believes that Congress remains deeply ingrained in the hearts of the public and will ultimately prevail against the divisive tactics.
JKPCC general secretary (Org) Narinder Gupta, Chairman Social Media Deptt Jatin K Raina, Vice Chairman OBC Deptt Naik Mohd Malik, Mehar Singh, Capt Keranjeet Singh, Rakesh Verma, Dharam Pal Dogra, Ravinder Singh (State Coordinator Punjab), Rakesh Meenia, Babli Kour, Sapna Kumari and others were also present.
