Cong Councillors express concern over spike in Corona deaths, positive cases

JAMMU, May 11: Congress Councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) expressed serious concern over the unprecedented spike in causalities and positive cases of COVID-19 in J&K.
In a press conference here today Dwarka Chowdhary, Congress chief whip in JMC house of Councillors said there is dire need of sanitation in every street of entire Jammu city as the pandemic has spread across the city.
He also said that JMC authorities should ensure cleanliness of the entire city in order to control the pandemic.
The Congress leader demanded increasing the number of load carrier autos engaged for garbage collection from door-to-door along with an increase in number of Safai Karamcharis.
“Government should pay attention on Corona positive patients as many of these are dying due to the negligence of authorities,” he maintained adding that the government should ensure proper oxygen supply in all hospitals.
“All round development of Jammu city including repair and construction of lanes-drains, roads etc should be accomplished soon,” Congress Councillors including Ritu Chowdhary, Pritam Singh, Sobat Ali, Mohiudin, and Rashpal Bhardwaj said.
