Cong committed to equitable development of J&K: Mir

SRINAGAR, June 2: While urging upon the party workers to reach out to the people for resolution of the issues confronting them, PCC president  GA Mir described the Congress Party as an instrument of service, duty bound to seek resolution of the issues confronting people.
Addressing party workers at Chrar-i-Sharief in district Budgam today,  PCC chief described  Congress Party as an instrument of service to the people, which has remained dedicated to the cause of people. He said Congress party believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of the State.  He said Congress Party   is duty bound to address the aspirations of the people and it has always taken care of  the urges and aspirations of the people.
Mr Mir urged upon the party workers reach out to the people with the programmes and policies of the Congress Party. He felt confident that people of the country and State have realized that it is the Congress Party alone which has served them (people) best is really  an all-weather friend of the people and it would continue to strive hard for the overall development of the State and its people.
Earlier, PCC chief visited the shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani (RA) and paid obeisance. On this occasion, he prayed for progress prosperity and overall development of the State and the people.
Among others who addressed the gathering included MLC and vice president GN Monga, MLA Haji Abdual Rashid Dar, MLA GM Saroori,   PCC gen secy Usman Majeed, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Zahid Hussain Jan, GN Mir Lasjan, Irfan Naqib, Abid Kashmiri, Ab Qayoom Shah, Javed Sultan and others.
